Aaron Rodgers A Low-End QB2 In Week 18

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers will wrap up his 2024 season with a home matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Week 18. Rodgers struggled mightily in his last game, throwing for just 112 yards and two interceptions in a loss to the Buffalo Bills. He will attempt to finish on a high note against a Miami defense that has been tough on opposing quarterbacks, allowing the fewest fantasy points per game to the position this season. Rodgers said earlier in the week that Sunday's game could be his last, which gives some added luster to an otherwise uninspiring matchup. That being said, Rodgers settles in as a low-end QB2 for fantasy purposes this weekend.

Breece Hall An RB2 In Week 18

New York Jets running back Breece Hall will put the final touches on his 2024 season in a home matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Week 18. Hall was quiet in his last game, posting 53 all-purpose yards on 11 touches. He will look to bounce back against a Miami run defense that is allowing just the 20th-most fantasy points per game to running backs this season. Hall settles in as an RB2 in fantasy but is probably not a high-ceiling play in DFS contests this weekend due to his recent struggles and the tough matchup on tap.

Tyler Conklin Missing Another Practice

New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin (calf) is missing a second straight practice this week on Thursday. Conklin picked up a calf injury in the Week 17 blowout loss to the division-rival Buffalo Bills and is now trending toward missing the Week 18 regular-season finale on Sunday against the division-rival Miami Dolphins unless he can return to practice on Friday. The 29-year-old is coming off a season-high eight-catch performance last Sunday in which he also recorded 57 receiving yards and his third touchdown of the year. The Jets have nothing to play for this weekend, so it's unlikely they'll try to force Conklin out onto the field if he's not 100 percent. If he is not active for what could be quarterback Aaron Rodgers' final game in the NFL, Jeremy Ruckert and Kenny Yeboah would battle for TE1 duties in New York.

Tyler Conklin Picks Up A DNP To Start The Week

New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin (calf) did not practice with the rest of the team on Wednesday. Conklin apparently picked up a calf injury in the Week 17 loss to the division-rival Buffalo Bills in which he had one of his best showings of the season. The 29-year-old caught all eight of his targets for 57 yards and a touchdown, but now his availability will be in question heading into the regular-season finale in Week 18 versus the division-rival Miami Dolphins. If Conklin is unable to get back on the practice field this week, the Jets would have more playing time available for tight ends Jeremy Ruckert and Kenny Yeboah, although neither player would excite fantasy managers setting DFS lineups. In his third year with the Jets in 2024, Conklin has barely moved the fantasy needle, catching 49 passes for 433 yards and three touchdowns on 69 targets in 15 games.

Aaron Rodgers Says Sunday Could Be His Final Game

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers acknowledged that the Week 18 regular-season finale on Sunday against the division-rival Miami Dolphins -- his 241st career start -- could be his last. The 41-year-old future Hall of Famer said he'll decide before free agency in March whether to play another year in 2025. Rodgers is open to returning to the Jets next year if the new regime will have him, but that's unlikely to happen. He missed all of 2023 due to a torn Achilles and ranks 25th out of 33 qualified QBs in total QBR this year with 24 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while leading the Jets to a 4-12 record. Rodgers needs one TD to become the fifth player in NFL history with 500 TD passes, and he needs only 115 passing yards to pass Matt Ryan for seventh on the career list. The four-time MVP will be going for those milestones this Sunday and will be in play as a midrange QB2 in fantasy.
