Moves to Make Now in Dynasty Fantasy Football (9/20)

Share

Would you believe me if I said the leader in targets for the Atlanta Falcons isn’t Drake London, Kyle Pitts, or even Bijan Robinson? What if I told you they’re available in over 50% of dynasty leagues? This week’s edition of “Dynasty Moves to Make” is weighty in waiver wire gems, including a speculative add that honestly gets me a little verklempt.

As a reminder, buying doesn’t mean getting a player for Cade Otton and a copy of The Stinky Cheese Man & Other Fairly Stupid Tales you never returned to the library. Selling doesn’t mean you must rid your rosters of said player for 10 cents on the dollar. When players are improperly valued, take advantage.

Dynasty Moves to Make: Sells

J.K. Dobbins, RB, Los Angeles Chargers

Please don’t tell Mike Randle I said this, but I fear the storybook comeback of J.K. Dobbins could come crashing down soon. Through the first two weeks of the season, Dobbins has an astonishing (and unsustainable) 9.9 yards per carry, tops in the NFL. He’s averaging nearly five yards after contact and is tied with Jordan Mason and Alvin Kamara for the league lead in explosive runs with seven, according to FTN StatsHub. But some things give me pause. He was out carried by Gus Edwards in both games, with Gus Bus doubling Dobbins in red zone carries, 4-2. Both of Dobbins’ touchdowns were runs of 10 yards or more. That’s not something you can count on for regular production.

Dobbins had great matchups the first two weeks, with Carolina and Las Vegas ranking 27th and 28th in rush defense DVOA. The Chargers will face more stringent run defenses in the coming weeks, starting with Pittsburgh in Week 3. Add his injury history and the uncertainty of how long his knee will hold up; Dobbins is a textbook sell-high.

Players I’d be willing to trade Dobbins for 1 for 1: Blake Corum, Brian Robinson Jr., Jameson Williams
