As the fantasy football regular season comes to an end, so does the 2024 edition of this series. “Dynasty Moves to Make” started way back in May, and whether it’s your first time reading or your 31st, thank you for reading.
For this final edition of 2024, I decided to switch gears. Instead of listing some conglomerate of buys, sells, and pickups, I uncovered an upcoming unrestricted free agent at each position whose dynasty value could jump with a change of scenery. As a reminder, buying doesn’t mean getting a player for Wendell Smallwood and a VR Troopers previously viewed VHS. When players are improperly valued, take advantage.

Mac Jones, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars
With Trevor Lawrence out for the rest of the season after landing on IR, Mac Jones will get an extended look as the Jaguars starter. While his first two games under center were abysmal, Mac showed some promise in Week 13. Jones threw for two touchdowns with no turnover-worthy throws while tossing a solid-yet-unspectacular 7.3 yards per attempt, according to FTN StatsHub. His 62.5% completion rate is gross initially, but his adjusted completion rate (throws considered accurate or on-target) jumps to 78.6% helps calm the nausea a bit. Jones was working with a skeleton crew at receiver, with Christian Kirk and Gabe Davis out for the season, and didn’t have much time to throw. Jones was tied for the fourth shortest time to pressure in Week 13, just 2.2 seconds. At just 26 years old, Jones should find himself in a position to challenge for a starting job in 2025 at a minimum. Take a shot on him in superflex.
