The last game on the Week 16 NFL slate features the Indianapolis Colts (4-9-1) vs. the Los Angeles Chargers (8-6). This game holds critical importance for the Chargers, who are seeking their first playoff berth since the 2018 season.
Los Angeles received this opportunity after both New England and Las Vegas lost on Saturday. The Patriots were defeated at home 22-18 by Cincinnati, and the Raiders were defeated 13-10 at Pittsburgh.
Los Angeles currently holds the sixth-place spot in the AFC but still has a chance to move up to the No. 5 spot, which is held by Baltimore (10-5).
With such a critical opportunity on Monday Night, there are a few fantastic Mojo player investment opportunities for the Chargers. Here is my favorite investment for tonight’s Monday Night Football matchup: Keenan Allen.
Keenan Allen, WR, Los Angeles Chargers
Keenan Allen is one of the elite receivers in the NFL. He has 97 or more receptions in each of the past five seasons, and 100 or more catches in four of the last five years. Tonight sets up as a great opportunity for another big performance.
While the Colts rank 11th overall in defensive DVOA per FootballOutsiders, they have struggled mightily against No. 1 receivers. Indianapolis is just 27th in DVOA against No. 1 overall wide receivers, allowing 16.4% more production to opposing top wideouts than the league average based on situation and opponent. The 30-year-old Allen has been scalding hot since finally recovering from a hamstring injury that lingered for the majority of the season. Since Week 12, Allen carries the following rankings among all wideouts:
- Second in targets (52)
- Third in receptions (36)
- Seventh in receiving yards (409)
Investors have suppressed Allen’s stock price to a level that is very attractive. Over the course of his career, Allen’s value has grown steadily during his 10 seasons in the league.
Allen has seen incredible growth, climbing over 354%. However, during this season, Allen’s growth has only started to occur over the last few weeks.
A strong finish to the season would be a fantastic boost for Mojo investors. His stock price still sits $3.80 below his career-high of $22.83, illustrating there is still upside despite being a veteran NFL wideout. To make this even more enticing? Mojo is providing an 8x multiplier on his value, setting up investors for a huge payday tonight.
Allen has built an impressive resume that could end with a selection into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He is a 5x Pro Bowl selection and was named Comeback Player of the Year in 2017. He will likely end his career as the Chargers’ all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards. Those accomplishments would undoubtedly lead to an increase in his Mojo value, proving there is still plenty of growth at his current price.
