Win and you’re in.

If you can’t clinch a playoff berth before Week 18, you want to have your playoff chances completely under your own control. That’s exactly what the Packers have on Sunday Night when they face their NFC North rivals, the Detroit Lions.

This game profiles as a perfect investment opportunity at Mojo!

Mojo is a whole new pure sports investment — on the entire career of an athlete. The share price is the public’s expectations for a player’s career based on six objective stats. A player’s value can also be affected by the result of a single game.

We want players who are motivated in Week 18. My article on Friday outlined why Christian Kirk was a fantastic investment, and he delivered with six receptions, 99 receiving yards and a touchdown.

We have identified another wide receiver who should receive a nice bump in price after a big projected performance against the Lions on Sunday Night Football.

Christian Watson, WR, Green Bay Packers

Christian Watson was a second-round pick for Green Bay in this year’s NFL draft, marking a rare time in quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ tenure with the Packers that they invested high draft capital into a receiver. He carries elite speed (4.36 40-yard dash), and his 6-foot-4 frame is a fantastic target in the red zone or on deep balls.

Watson left Week 16’s game against the Dolphins with a hip injury and underperformed in his Week 17 return against the Vikings. Watson only produced one reception for 11 yards, equating to just 2.1 PPR fantasy points. However, the dynamic rookie did run a route on over 66% of dropbacks, even when Rodgers was removed from the game during Green Bay’s comfortable blowout victory over the Vikings. This signals that Watson should be fully healthy for tonight’s matchup with Detroit.

This is a great matchup for Watson, who has proved to be explosive against man coverage. His athletic skill set is a nightmare against man-to-man defenses, illustrated by his two-touchdown performance against Tennessee in Week 11. The Lions rank among the top 5 teams in man coverage and have allowed the fifth-most receiving yards to opposing wideouts over the past five weeks.

Investors were quick to sell Mojo shares of Watson, dropping his value over the last month from a high of $8.61 down to $8.32 entering tonight’s matchup. Watson’s price on Mojo over the full year shows that there is plenty of room for a late-season increase in value.

If the Packers beat the Lions and make the playoffs behind a big Watson performance, his price is certain to blow past his career-high value of $8.32 per share.

When healthy, we’ve seen Watson function as the top receiving option for Rodgers. From Weeks 10-13, he produced seven touchdowns, including a three-touchdown performance against Dallas in Week 10. The Packers are in a must-win game at home against a Lions team with a poor pass defense. Coming off a limited Week 17 game, Watson is a huge buy for the last Sunday of the 2022 regular season.
