Puka Nacua Traveling To Seattle

As reported by the NFL's Dianna Russini, the Los Angeles Rams expect wide receiver Puka Nacua (knee) to play in Week 9. It's excellent news for the Rams and fantasy managers, as it appears Nacua's reaggravation of his preseason knee injury won't force him to miss Sunday's contest. The superstar wideout returned from a near-two month absence in Week 8 to post seven catches and 106 yards on just 57% of the team's snaps. He may see a diminished snap share again when LA lines up against the Seattle Seahawks on the road. However, he's already proven his effectiveness on limited snaps once. If he's active, fantasy managers should have no fears of firing him up. If not, wide receiver Cooper Kupp stands to see a ton of work, with fellow wideouts Demarcus Robinson and Tutu Atwell picking up the slack.

Puka Nacua Expected To Play

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua (knee) is dealing with a knee injury that isn't considered a major issue and is expected to play in Week 9 on Sunday against the division-rival Seattle Seahawks. Nacua's injury was described to The Athletic's Dianna Russini as "nothing crazy." The Rams listed Nacua as questionable for the weekend, but fantasy managers should leave the 23-year-old second-year pass-catcher in their starting lineups. Just make sure to check he's officially active on Sunday, as expected, after he banged up his knee during Thursday's practice. He's not dealing with any structural damage, though, and will be looking for an encore after going for seven catches (nine targets) and 106 yards in the Week 8 win over the Minnesota Vikings last Thursday. Nacua hasn't scored in the two games he's played in this year, but he's a must-start in fantasy when active.

Rams Not Expected To Move Cooper Kupp

The Athletic's Dianna Russini doesn't expect the Los Angeles Rams to trade veteran wide receiver Cooper Kupp by Tuesday's NFL trade deadline despite being open to moving him this time a week ago. On the flip side, the Rams are trying to move cornerback Tre'Davious White. Kupp returned last Thursday night in the win over the Minnesota Vikings from an ankle injury that he suffered in Week 2. The 31-year-old caught five of his eight target for 51 yards and a touchdown and now has 23 catches on 35 targets for 198 yards and two touchdowns in his three games played in 2024. Kupp took a back seat to second-year wideout Puka Nacua, who was returning from a knee injury he suffered in Week 1, but as long as Kupp is able to remain healthy the rest of the way, he'll be a must-start fantasy receiver. He should be considered a low-end WR1 on Sunday versus the division-rival Seattle Seahawks.

Cooper Kupp A Must-Start Option Against Seattle In Week 9

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp looks to return to WR1 form after his solid return in Week 8, even though fellow wideout Puka Nacua (knee) overshadowed him. He caught five passes on eight targets for 51 yards and a receiving touchdown. Week 9 presents a solid matchup against a Seattle Seahawks defense that ranks 16th in fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers. Nacua's status against Seattle is uncertain, meaning more targets could be heading Kupp's way if Nacua is ruled out. Darius Slayton, Deebo Samuel Sr., and Khalil Shakir have all gone over 100 yards receiving in recent weeks against them. The Rams' offense seems to be back in peak form with all of their weapons back. Expect his target share to continue to go up each week, as history has shown when Matthew Stafford is under center. Kupp should be started with confidence in all lineups and check in as RotoBaller's WR10 in the Week 9 rankings.

Puka Nacua, Shot To Play Week 9

Per Ian Rapoport, after talking to multiple sources, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua (knee) "should be ok moving forward" and reportedly has a chance to suit up for Week 9. Despite being listed as questionable after recording a DNP to close out the week, head coach Sean McVay has not ruled Nacua out for the team's divisional clash against the Seattle Seahawks. It's excellent news for the Rams and fantasy managers, as this most recent flare-up has afflicted the same knee that forced the 23-year-old to miss the prior five weeks. While nothing is set in stone for Sunday's matchup, it doesn't appear to be another long-term issue for the young superstar wideout. Keep an eye on his status over the next 36 hours.
