Wide receiver Breshad Perriman will sign a one-year, $3 million deal with the Detroit Lions, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Analysis: Perriman will line up opposite Tyrell Williams in two-receiver sets this season in the Motor City. Looking at Detroit's free-agent signings so far, it's fair to wonder if Dan Campbell and Anthony Lynn missed the announcement of Matthew Stafford's trade to Los Angeles. The offense they are assembling consisting of field-stretching receivers is head-scratching, to say the least, with Jared Goff under center. Last season, among 38 quarterbacks with 20 or more deep attempts, Goff ranked 30th in deep adjusted completion percentage. Perriman is better left on the waiver wires this fantasy season.
