Las Vegas Raiders tight end Michael Mayer (toe) missed practice on Wednesday as his team gears up to face off against the Denver Broncos in Week 18. Mayer has missed the past two games with his toe injury and could be in line to sit out of the regular-season finale with a missed practice to begin the week. The rookie tight end will have to get onto the practice field at least in a limited capacity by Friday if he wants to suit up in Week 18. If Mayer doesn't wind up playing, veteran Austin Hooper would operate as the Raiders' No. 1 TE.

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (ankle, knee) was not at practice for the first session of the week on Wednesday. Mostert is a question mark for a huge Week 18 contest against the division-rival Buffalo Bills this Sunday night after sitting out the Week 17 blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He's going to need to get back to practice later this week to have a shot at returning, and if he's eventually listed as questionable on Friday, he'll create a tough decision for fantasy managers that are still playing for a championship. The 31-year-old has 21 total touchdowns on the year, but even if he's active, he could yield important backfield touches to rookie De'Von Achane and Jeff Wilson Jr. Mostert is currently shaping up as a volatile RB3/flex to close out the regular season.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith completed 23 of 33 pass attempts for 290 yards and a touchdown in their 30-23 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also added 33 yards on the ground on three carries, including one rush that went for a season-high gain of 25 yards. Smith found receiver DK Metcalf for big gains of 33, 32, and 21 yards and finished with eight completions that went for 15 yards or more. Smith held his own against the Steelers' aggressive pass rush until he fell victim to a strip sack midway through the fourth quarter, his one miscue of the day. The 33-year-old regained his composure on the Seahawks' final drive of the game, completing six consecutive pass attempts but failed to connect on his final three shots at the end zone. For fantasy managers playing through to Week 18, Smith should fare well in Seattle's season finale against the Arizona Cardinals.
