Offensive lineman Kyle Long signed a one-year deal worth up to $5 million with the Kansas City Chiefs Wednesday, per ESPN's Adam Schefter

Kyle Long signs with Kansas City

Long hasn't played since 2019 but was one of the better interior offensive linemen in the NFL. This is another step in the direction of reconstructing a broken offensive line in Kansas City. In seven seasons with the Chicago Bears, Long started 76 games and made three Pro Bowls.

Fantasy slant: Long has unretired to head to Kansas City and chase a ring with Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes. The last time we saw Long, injuries limited him to four games played in 2019. Long has not played more than 10 games in a season since 2015. During his heyday, Long was one of the premier pass-blocking guards in the NFL. If healthy (and that’s a big if), Long would be an improvement upon last year’s starter Andrew Wylie who allowed pressure on 5.2% of his pass blocking snaps in 2020. – Derek Brown
