The 28-year-old Manhertz has been with since signing with them in 2016 after starting his career with the Bills and Saints as an undrafted free agent.
Jaguars add Chris Manhertz in free agency
Fantasy slant: Manhertz is a depth signing for Jacksonville. The Jaguars declined Tyler Eifert’s option for 2021, and James O'Shaughnessy is an unrestricted free agent. Besides Josh Oliver, the only tight ends on the roster before signing Manhertz were Tyler Davis (2020 sixth-round pick) and Ben Ellefson. When he’s on the field, expect Manhertz to be blocking. Since 2016 80.5% of Manhertz’s snaps have been spent run or pass blocking. — Derek Brown
