Gross Bombs: NFL Props for Wild Card Weekend

Share

It’s hard to believe it, but we’ve reached the NFL postseason! As you’ll see across FTN, there will be numerous pieces of content, as well as our terrific statistical tools available to all subscribers. If you haven’t already joined our Discord server, I certainly recommend doing so, as our experts generally find time throughout the week for open discussions, as well as to answer any questions you may have.

This article will cover a trio of my favorite first-look NFL bets for this week’s slate of games. All three plays will additionally be located in our Bet Tracker, but all the analysis surrounding each play can be found below.

Justin Jefferson 90 Receiving Yards

(-110, FanDuel Sportsbook)

As a Rams fan, this is just something that needs to be done. If there’s a weakness to that team, it’s the secondary, and they are incredibly overwhelmed by elite wideouts. When these two teams met on Thursday Night Football earlier this season, Jefferson hauled in eight of nine targets for 115 yards. Our WR/CB Tool gives Jefferson an 89.5 matchup rating this weekend, which is the third highest on the slate. Jefferson’s 25.6% target share was fourth highest in the NFL this season, per the FTN StatsHub. He additionally had the sixth-highest first read target share at 16.6%. The Rams allow the 10th-most air yards per game, along with the 10th-highest aDOT, while Jefferson saw the seventh-most air yards per game, which accounted for 36.2% of Minnesota’s total air yards per game, 67.4% of which were catchable air yards. The Rams additionally surrendered the fifth-highest explosive catch rate (16.1%). It is setting up for a massive Justin Jefferson Wild Card week.
