Analysis: The Giants opened the checkbook for a player coming off a career-best 11.5 sacks. Williams leads a New York defensive line that finished tied for 12th in sacks (40) last season. The Giants’ defense dealt with their fair share of injuries but still ranked seventh in quarterback knockdowns (64) and tenth in pressure rate (25.5%).
