Welcome to Week 18 of the NFL season. This is the last week before the playoffs, which means some games have big implications and other games have almost no implications. There’s a lot of work that must be done to figure out the motivations and plans of each team. Can we count on teams in must win situations to play their very best and get the job done? Will teams with nothing to play for rest all their key players or give them one last chance to get a win and maybe even hit some contract incentives?
Be very careful as you wade into this week’s NFL action and be sure you understand all decisions each team has to make. Luckily, Saturday’s games features teams that have to win and should be a little more straightforward. The Baltimore Ravens must defeat the Cleveland Browns to win the AFC South and lock in their position as the 3 seed. If the Ravens lose, the Pittsburgh Steelers can win the AFC South and become the 3 seed themselves, but to do that, they have to beat the Cincinnati Bengals, who must win to have any chance of making the playoffs.
It’s good to have teams with something on the line, but even better is knowing that there will be touchdowns scored and, more specifically, first touchdowns. Here are my bets to win us some cash in the most exciting NFL prop market: Who will score the first touchdown?
