It’s hard to be a (relatively) short NFL quarterback. Big athletes on both sides, some of them trying to knock you down, all of them hard to see over – it’s no wonder teams want their signal callers to be of at least above-average height. In fact, since the 1970 merger, only one quarterback listed below 6 feet tall has put up 1,000 fantasy points, and even more amazingly, only eight sub-6-feet QBs have even reached one hundred points.
To be fair, go up one inch to 6-foot-0 and you can find some very productive QBs – Drew Brees, Michael Vick, Joe Theismann and Fran Tarkenton were all listed at 6-0 and topped 1,000 career points, and a handful of others had long careers. But for those listed under 6-0, it’s historically been a tough road. So today’s Quiz of the Day is a hard one: Can you name the eight QBs listed at below 6 feet tall to put up at least 100 career fantasy points since the merger? Take the quiz and see how you do!
