Training camps provide our first look into NFL players and teams as we prepare for the upcoming fantasy football season. Information will now begin to flood our social media timelines, leaving us to determine the subsequent fantasy impact. It’s a matter of knowing which information matters, and which should be ignored.

So each day in this space, we’ll take a trip through the top news and takeaways around the league’s training camps to offer up what fantasy managers need to know as we head through draft season and into the 2024 NFL regular season.

Today, let’s review the major news as we start from Tuesday into Wednesday.

Injuries Piling Up for Miami Pass Catchers

Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill was seen sporting a removable brace on his right hand during practice Tuesday. He was able to participate during individual drills but did not catch any passes. His participation in drills is considered an encouraging sign the injury is not severe. Jaylen Waddle and Odell Beckham Jr. remained out of practice due to injuries of their own.

Lions head coach Dan Campbell gave updates on multiple Lions players Tuesday, including star running back Jahmyr Gibbs. Campbell said that Gibbs is “trending the right way” and expects him to return to practice next week. Gibbs’s fantasy managers can breathe a sigh of relief as it appears he’ll likely be ready for Week 1.

QB Williams, Bears Starters to Sit Preseason Finale

Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus revealed that No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams and most Bears starters will not play in Thursday’s preseason finale against the Chiefs. Tyson Bagent will likely start.

Williams will make his regular-season debut Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans.
