Daily fantasy NFL tournaments provide opportunity for all kinds of players to get into the game. Whether you are a low-stakes grinder, casual player, or nose-bleed stakes sharp, the tournament space has a contest for you. But how to select the right ones?

That’s where DFS Tournament Tracking comes into play. This piece will give all the information you need to know about various tournaments on DraftKings and FanDuel. Here are some of the terms you will need to know to get full value out of this data:

  • Rake – Percent of entry money paid to the contest provider
  • First – Percent of prize money to first place
  • Top 10 – Percent of prize money to the top 10 places
  • Pays – Percent of entrants finishing in the money
  • Min Cash – How much a minimum cash is worth divided by the entry fee

The tournaments will be put into similar groups so you can easily compare based on your bankroll and play style.

Mass multi-entry

High stakes

  • There is not a ton of variation between the high-stakes MME contests on DraftKings and FanDuel
  • The FanDuel version will cost you a little less rake, and pay out more of the field

Mid-stakes

  • If you are fishing for a million dollars, the DraftKings Milly Maker has over three times fewer entries, while being five times more expensive.
  • The Combine has by far the smallest field of this group, and pays the least amount to first
  • The flattest prize structure in this group continues to be the Slant

Low stakes

  • All of these contests feature some of the highest rake
  • The Dive has the flattest prize structure, and the second-lowest number of entries. It is one of two contests in this group to pay over 30% of the field
  • The Mini-Max is the only DraftKings tournament listed and pays by far the lowest number of players. The prize structure is fairly flat at the top, but pales in comparison to most of its FanDuel contemporaries

Between 10 and 50 entries

High stakes

  • Both of these contests are small-field, but the Monster is way more top-heavy
  • This despite having the larger field and higher price point

Mid-stakes

  • Both of these tournaments are on DraftKings, and are quite different
  • The Hail Mary has many more entries, which is why you may notice the higher rake and higher entry limits
  • The Chop Block is a smaller field with less entries

Low stakes

  • The Play-Action offers a huge prize pool for a low dollar amount, and users will only have to spend a maximum of $60 to have a shot to win $200,000
  • FanDuel continues to offer a fantastic contest for inexperienced players with the Huddle
  • There are options at this price point all over the place from a field size perspective

Fewer than 10 entries

High stakes

  • The SWEAT continues to supply intrigue for high-stakes players with its flat and unique pay structure
  • There is otherwise not a lot of differentiation between these games. It ultimately comes down to how much you are willing to spend, and which scoring settings you prefer

Mid-stakes

  • The Touchdown on FanDuel stands out in this group as a tournament that has a small field, high min-cash payout, and overall flat payout structure
  • The Hot Route on FanDuel appears to be better than the DraftKings Red Zone from a payout perspective

Low stakes

  • There are tons of single-entry and three-max games available for low stakes players
  • In order to provide users with a top prize worth chasing, the field sizes at this level are fairly large
  • The Flea Flicker is a five-entry max tournament, but has the smallest field size of any contest under $10
