This is a great time to be a sports bettor. As sports betting becomes legal in more and more locations, the various sportsbooks are all vying for your business.
Targeting daily odds boosts bets can be one of the best ways to take advantage.
Four days a week, I’ll be highlighting some of the best odds boosts and where you can find them.
Today’s odds boost piece will continue to focus on Major League Baseball. There are 20 teams in action Monday, starting with the Angels at the Athletics at 3:40 p.m. ET. We’ll also take a look at some odds boosts for the NBA season restart, which kicks off Thursday with a doubleheader featuring the Jazz/Pelicans and Clippers/Lakers.

Let’s dive in.
MLB Odds Boost
Los Angeles Angels at Oakland Athletics (3:40 p.m. ET start)
Boosted bet: Angels to win and Mike Trout to hit a HR — +500 on William Hill (was +400)
The Angels had high expectations coming into this season, but they’ve stumbled to a 1-2 record through their first three games. Still, they have plenty of time to right the ship even in a shortened season.
They’ll be facing A’s right-hander Chris Bassett Monday, which bodes well for Trout. He absolutely feasted on right-handers last season, posting a ridiculous .460 wOBA and .385 ISO. As good as those numbers are, his Statcast numbers suggest they should’ve been even better: He had an expected wOBA of .472 thanks in part to a 46.8% hard hit rate.
If you think Trout can go deep in this one — and that’s definitely a reasonable expectation — why not parlay it with an Angels win? If Trout does hit a HR, that will undoubtedly increase the Angels’ chance for a victory.
Chicago Cubs at Cincinnati Reds (6:40 p.m. ET start)
Boosted bet: Kris Bryant to hit a HR — +450 on DraftKings (was +300)
Bryant is definitely still shaking the rust off early in the season. He’s managed just one hit through his first 14 plate appearances, and he’s also struck out in 42.9% of at bats.
Perhaps a matchup against Reds’ left-hander Wade Miley will be just what the doctor ordered. Bryant was at his best facing southpaws last season, posting a .437 wOBA and .300 ISO. Miley also isn’t a particularly fearsome left-hander given his 4.51 FIP in 2019.
Bryant will also benefit from this game being played in Cincinnati. The Great American Ballpark was one of the most hitter-friendly venues in baseball last season, particularly in terms of HRs.
NBA Odds Boost
Boosted bet: LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Kawhi Leonard and Zion Williamson each to score over 19.5 points in their first game — +300 on FoxBet (was +250)
No one really knows how things are going to go in Orlando during the NBA restart. How seriously will certain teams approach the regular season? Will any players have minute limitations? How will the empty stadiums impact scoring?
Still, this parlay definitely has some merit.
James, Davis and Leonard have each averaged at least 25.7 points per game this season, so this is a pretty low threshold for them to clear. Williamson is the bigger question mark, but he’s averaged 23.6 points per game over an average of just 29.7 minutes. The Pelicans are fighting for their playoff lives during the restart, so Zion also figures to see an expanded workload in Orlando.
If you’re looking for more NBA value, make sure to check out two promotions that DraftKings has going at the moment:
- NBA 3-Ball Bonus — If you place a spread bet of at least $50 on either of Thursday’s NBA contests, you will receive a bonus of $3 for each 3-pointer that your chosen side makes. You need to opt-in before placing your wager, and the deadline for this bet is 11:59 p.m. ET Monday. Make sure to take advantage now.
- Choose your 5-1 moneyline boost — This bet allows you to take any moneyline wager and change the odds to +500. It applies to any game between July 30 and August 1. You are limited to just a $20 wager and you need to opt-in before placing it, but this bet represents a massive value.
For example, the biggest favorites on the board right now are the Phoenix Suns, who are -305 against the Washington Wizards Friday. Changing a bet on the Suns from -305 to +500 is one of the largest odds boosts you will ever see.
You can target any game that you want for this promotion, so make sure to choose wisely. I would recommend checking out the staff betting picks, which will be updated once we get closer to tipoff.
