This is a great time to be a sports bettor. As sports betting becomes legal in more and more locations, the various sportsbooks are all vying for your business.
Targeting daily odds boosts bets can be one of the best ways to take advantage.
Several times a week, I’ll be highlighting some of the best odds boosts across the industry and where you can find them.
The Monday slate is a bit light on sports, but there is soccer action available all across the globe. Let’s dive in.
Spanish La Liga Odds Boost
Villarreal vs. Real Sociedad (1:30 p.m. ET)
Boosted bet: Draw — +280 on DraftKings (was +250)
This match features two teams that have been virtually identical this season. Villarreal ranks fifth in the La Liga table, scoring 57 goals while allowing 45. Real Sociedad sits eighth in the table, but they have a very similar goal differential (53 goals scored vs. 46 goals allowed).
With that in mind, why not take a look at the draw? Villarreal did win the previous matchup between these two teams by a score of 2-1, but one of those goals came from the penalty spot.
English Premier League Odds Boost
Manchester United vs. Southampton (3 p.m. ET start)
Boosted bets: Manchester United to lead at halftime and full time — +120 on BetMGM (was -129)
Anthony Martial to score and Manchester United to win — +150 on FoxBet (was +125)
There’s only one Premier League game on the docket Monday, but it’s an important one. Manchester United is currently sitting in fifth place in the league standings, but a win here would vault them into fourth. The top four teams in the Premier League qualify for the Champions League next season, so Manchester United has a ton to play for.
You can get a nice little odds boost on Man U if you think that they can win this game wire to wire. They’re listed as -155 favorites in the first half and -355 favorites overall, so those odds should translate to around -120 if you wanted to parlay them. The fact that you can get better than even money with the odds boost makes that a pretty appealing wager.
You can also take a flyer on the team to win and Martial to score, which he has done plenty of this season. He’s scored 15 goals in 28 Premier League outings, resulting in an average of 0.60 goals per 90 minutes.
Major League Soccer Odds Boost
Los Angeles FC vs. Houston Dynamo (8 p.m. ET start)
LA Galaxy vs. Portland Timbers (10:30 p.m. ET start)
Boosted bet: LAFC and LA Galaxy both to win: +360 on FanDuel (was +290)
If you’re looking to wager on the MLS Monday, why not consider a LA double-dip?
LAFC is up first, and they’re -129 favorites vs. the Dynamo. Houston is coming off a 4-0 loss in their last game, and LAFC beat them 3-1 in their last meeting.
The Galaxy are the MLS nightcap, and they have a tougher matchup against the Timbers. The Timbers are actually slight favorites despite being on the road (+143 vs. +163), and the Galaxy are near the bottom of the Western Conference standings after earning just one point through their past two contests.
Still, I like this bet from a mathematical standpoint. We’re getting a little extra value due to the odds boost, and we can always hedge after the LAFC game if they secure the victory.
