Opening Odds – Colts-Titans

The Tennessee Titans come in as favorites for the second time of the NFL season but with a much lower total for the game. They are currently sitting at 1-1 ATS and with Derrick Henry quickly getting back to doing what he does best, which is running very well, this Titans offense can be dangerous. For the Indianapolis Colts, they found themselves once again as underdogs and for good reasoning. With no wins yet on the season and with Carson Wentz spraining both ankles, times will only get tougher for them as they go throughout the season.

Quarterback Analysis – Jacob Eason vs. Ryan Tannehill

Now, I am predicting that we see Jacob Eason come in to play this week as Carson Wentz is dealing with two sprained ankles. However, Eason is not coming in with a picture-perfect situation with the Indianapolis Colts. He had to step in Sunday versus the Los Angeles Rams and there wasn’t much for him to do. He completed just two of five passing attempts while throwing for 25 yards with one interception. What makes it even more difficult is that he now has to face the Tennessee Titans and Ryan Tannehill will do his best to make sure that the Colts’ offense does not see the field that much on Sunday.

Ryan Tannehill was on the field Sunday versus Seattle Seahawks and while he didn’t find a receiver for a touchdown, the offense dominated. Tannehill completed 27 of his 40 passes for 347 yards with no touchdown or interceptions. It was all Derrick Henry who carried the football 35 times and rushed for 182 yards with three touchdowns. I believe we see a similar game plan versus the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday with all the responsibilities going to Derrick Henry.

Latest Colts Betting News & Info

We are getting a whole different version of the Indianapolis Colts this season than we did last year. The Colts were able to finish the season 11-5, tied with the Tennessee Titans in the AFC South but were able to cover the spread slightly better as they finished 8-8. They also finished 9-7 in the O/U category. While those numbers were good last year, this Colts team is going to be looked at as dogs all season long. They have started this season as dogs in the first two weeks with this game being the third in a row.

The Colts are only averaging 20 points per game which has them ranked 25th in the NFL. The run game is working for them as they are ranked 16th and rushing for a total of 111 yards per game but only passing for 234 yards. Their pass game has also taken a hit with Wentz out and no insight into what Jacob Eason may be able to accomplish with this offense.

Latest Titans Betting News & Info

Derrick Henry is really all that needs to be said currently after the explosive Week 2 performance he had for 182 rushing yards and three touchdowns. This offense can become very dangerous if Henry dominates once again as Tannehill has AJ Brown and Julio Jones, two massive receiving weapons. It will become a “pick your poison” situation for defenses. Throughout two games so far, the Titans rank 16th for points per game with 23 while averaging a total of 390 yards per game. That is skewed just due to what happened versus the Seattle Seahawks Sunday but it is something to look forward to.

Piggybacking off of the Colts breakdown, the Tennessee Titans did finish 11-5, tied for first in the AFC South last season. While they didn’t have success against the spread and finished 7-9 on the season, the over was their best friend as they hit on that a total of 12 times. With this offense only getting better with the addition of Julio Jones, that over can be a best friend of theirs and ours this season.

Colts vs. Titans Betting Picks – NFL Week 2

This will be an easy call for this week for the spread as the Tennessee Titans should be able to have a touchdown or two lead over the Indianapolis Colts and many may run to that bet. For the total points, that becomes a little tricky. While I believe the Titans will put up the scores to find a way to victory, I don’t think the Indianapolis Colts will be participating as much. I like the under as I find this to be a one-sided affair for the Titans.
