Chicago Bears Week 4 odds and betting picks

The Chicago Bears will be hosting the 0-3 Detroit Lions for Week 4 at Soldier Field. While Chicago Bears fans are just as confused as Coach Matt Nagy with who will be starting under center, they are still favored. With more stability around the Detroit Lions, oddsmakers still has them losing by less than a field goal Sunday.

Super Bowl odds update – Chicago Bears

The latest Super Bowl odds for the Chicago Bears are +6600 at DraftKings Sportsbook. Here is a look at the odds movement:

  • Week 4: +15000
  • Week 3: +8000
  • Week 2: +8000
  • Week 1: +6600

Bears futures odds

The Bears are a mess, and we can all thank head coach Matt Nagy for that. The offense came out with no gameplan surrounding Justin Fields and his ability in Week 3, and it showed badly. The offense was nonexistent when it should have been more explosive. The regular season win total has now dropped to 5.5, and even then, I wouldn’t touch the over or the under. We don’t even know who will be under center Sunday as Nagy has told media that every quarterback is up for the consideration of starting.

Khalil Mack is still sitting at a total of 9.5 sacks for the season, and I still like the over. The Bears struggled as whole against the Rams and once things start to change with who is under center, I believe the atmosphere surrounding this team will change. In a winning environment, Mack will thrive. While the past two seasons haven’t seen him reaching his typical sack total, Mack can be the dominant force we saw in Oakland in 2015-2018.

Justin Fields NFL MVP odds

While we expected fireworks Sunday for Justin Fields first start, we received nothing but duds. His NFL MVP odds have dropped all the way down to +50000. While it seems that this is basically Andy Dalton’s offense (when he’s healthy), even his odds have dropped to +100000. Just like Bears are scared of the win column, we should probably stay away from most Bears future props for this season.

Bears to win the NFC odds

The Bears are currently sitting at +8000 to win the NFC and just like last week and a broken record, there is no reason to lay any type of money on the Bears. There are rumors Nagy may be fired if the team loses to Detroit this week, but unless and until that actually happens, stay away from the Bears props.

Chicago Bears betting trends

The Bears were a very mixed bag of results last season, as they finished 8-8 ATS and the game totals. They only put together two streaks of covering the spread and total last season — one in Weeks 5-6, and the other in Weeks 14-16. The Bears will once again be hard to trust until we see consistency from their offense while the defense will have to pick up the slack.

  • 1-2 ATS (2021-2022)
  • 8-8 ATS (2020-2021)
  • 8-8 on Totals (2020-2021)

Chicago Bears betting picks – NFL Week 4

The Bears are somehow favorites in their matchup against the Lions even though Week 3 was just a horrible showing. While I do want to stay away from the total points as Jared Goff and this offense could just go off or be dead quiet after a couple scores, I want the +2.5 for the Lions. No matter who is under center for the Chicago Bears, Matt Nagy is not going to make the proper adjustments to succeed versus any defense.
