Josh Allen Shakes Off Rough First Half In Key Win

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen helped propel the team to the AFC East title as they hung on for a 21-14 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night, completing 30-of-38 passes for 359 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions with 15 carries for 67 yards. Allen committed three red-zone turnovers. The first was a reckless pick in the end zone on Buffalo's opening drive, the second was a fourth-down heave on their next possession, and his third came on a strip-sack fumble late in the third quarter. Allen's first score wasn't exactly how they drew it up; his pass was tipped into the air and into the waiting hands of Trent Sherfield in the back of the end zone. The 27-year-old superstar later gave his team the lead with a short TD to Dawson Knox in the fourth period. Allen now heads back to Orchard Park with his squad as the No. 2 seed as they prepare to host the Pittsburgh Steelers in next Sunday's Wild Card matchup.

Joshua Palmer Makes Six Catches In Week 18

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer made six catches in the final Chargers game of the season, a Week 18 loss to the backups of the Kansas City Chiefs. Palmer was targeted a team-high 10 times, making his six catches for 44 yards. It was a tough end to the season for the Chargers passing game, who had to watch Easton Stick only throw touchdowns in one of his four starts. Palmer flashed a few times while on the field this season, but injuries slowed him down a bit and he's not quite suited to be a team's WR1. He missed some time with a concussion and then was forced to leave this game early due to a knee injury.

Ty Johnson Being Evaluated For Head Injury

Buffalo Bills running back Ty Johnson (head) suffered a helmet-to-helmet hit and had to leave the game on Sunday night. He's currently being evaluated for any concussion-like symptoms along with other precautions. After getting near the goalline, Johnson put his head down and was hit by the Miami Dolphins defender who also went low and made helmet-to-helmet contact. He wasn't seen on the sidelines for some time afterward. Johnson had one carry for five yards and one catch for nine yards on one target before leaving the game. The Bills still have James Cook and Leonard Fournette to lean on, but Johnson's injury will be something to monitor, especially if the Bills end up winning the second seed.

Curtis Samuel Quiet In Blowout Loss To Dallas

Washington Commanders wide receiver Curtis Samuel caught two of four targets for 15 yards along with one carry for 15 yards during Sunday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys. For the third straight week, Samuel had himself a quiet performance as Washington's offense struggled to get anything going for most of Week 18. With the Commanders heading into the offseason, the seventh-year receiver is set to be an unrestricted free agent. While wide receivers are becoming more valuable than ever, it wouldn't be surprising to see Samuel donning a different uniform in 2024.

Joshua Palmer May Not Return Against The Chiefs

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer (knee) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Palmer was the Chargers' leading receiver before going down, catching six of his 10 targets for 44 yards. Los Angeles would like to end the 2023-24 campaign on a high note. However, with the team battling more than a few critical injuries, Palmer may not be back. With Gerald Everett (knee) also done in Week 18, Donald Parham Jr., Alex Erickson, and Quentin Johnston are the favorites to remain the most involved on the receiving end.
