Davon Godchaux and the New England Patriots agreed to a two-year deal worth up to $16 million, which includes $9 million fully guaranteed, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Analysis: Davon Godchaux adds some much-needed run-stopping ability to the Patriots' defensive line. He was limited to only five games played last season with a bicep injury. As recently as 2018, Godchaux was the 18th best run-defending interior defensive lineman, per PFF. This addresses a huge need for New England after finishing 31st in adjusted line yards and 26th in rushing yards (2,103) allowed last season.
