Cornerback Adoree' Jackson agreed to a three-year, $39 million deal with the New York Giants Monday, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Giants sign Adoree' Jackson
Adoree’ Jackson arrives to fill a massive need, a solid starting corner opposite James Bradberry. The Giants ranked 22nd in pass defense DVOA last season largely due to their shaky corners behind Bradberry. New York ranked 14th in DVOA per Football Outsiders against number one receivers while also ranking 21st and 31st against number two receivers and other receiving options. Jackson has been limited to 14 games over the last two seasons due to knee issues and a foot sprain. As a rookie among 123 corners with 150 or more coverage snaps, Jackson ranked 38th in yards per coverage snap allowed behind Tre’Davious White. If he can approach that level of play again, he’ll be a huge addition to this Patrick Graham’s defense.
