Summary

It has been a long road to relevance for Tre Harris after starting his college career as a two-star recruit (247sports). In his third year, he emerged as a significant threat at Lousiana Tech and capitalized on the transfer portal by moving over to Lane Kiffin’s Rebels. Tre Harris continued his ascension on the main stage and against much tougher SEC competition cementing himself among the top names in the 2025 class. This season he has already set a career-high in yards and is on pace to do the same in the touchdown department once he returns from injury.

Standing 6-foot-2, 204-pound Harris has a prototypical NFL frame to become a premier perimeter receiver. Pairing this frame with his understanding of leverage allows him to box defenders out like a basketball player getting a rebound. Adding this to his ferocity and a natural ability to high point the ball at the catch point makes him one of the better contested-catch receivers in the nation. He also presents a lengthy frame resulting in a large catch radius showing the ability to catch outside his frame comfortably. On the flip side, we also see him with more drops than desired, something to monitor at the next level. A key thing to note is that Harris lacks the high-end athletic traits that we covet in a premier prospect.

As a route runner, Harris has enough twitch and quickness at the release point to stack defensive backs but needs some consistency here. Within the routes Harris is a touch stiff and leaves some to be desired in man coverage situations, but as flashed some nice separator traits at the top of his stem. In his current offense, he has not been asked to run an extensive route tree, in these routes we see a need for refinement. We see him excel by attacking the leverage of defensive backs on longer sweeping-type routes and finding the soft spots in zone coverages. Despite lacking premier speed Harris displays an ability to manipulate his tempo, when paired with his ball-tracking ability it allows him to test defenses deep.

After the catch Harris is not a YAC bro but is developing a knack for creating after the catch. His quick transition from the catch to runner allows him to get upfield quickly while often making the first guy miss, but he leans more on his strength and physicality than elusiveness. At the NFL level, he will likely struggle in this department as the defenders get bigger and stronger but should offer enough to get a few extra yards at times.

Fantasy Outlook

Tre Harris will be a curious case when it comes to fantasy, lacking the premier athleticism and YAC ability makes him more dependent on his landing spot than others. He has shown the ability to play inside or outside at the college level, but his lack of separation skills could relegate him to a perimeter role. If he finds a home with one of the more pass-heavy teams there will be a path to relevancy, especially if his contested catch skills translate to the NFL, which would make him a consistent red zone target.
