Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen (back) will return from a one-game absence on Sunday versus Sacramento. Utah has upgraded him throughout the day, and he's now officially available for the contest. The Finnish star was a late scratch on Friday against Portland due to a back issue. Markkanen is Utah's leading scorer, averaging 19.2 points per game, and he should enjoy a productive comeback game in a meeting against a team that plays with the seventh-highest pace in the league and has a mediocre defense. The Kings gave up 25 points on 75 percent shooting to Markkanen in the previous head-to-head matchup.

Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen (back) will not suit up for Friday's meeting with Portland. He has been ruled out for low back injury management purposes. Svi Mykhailiuk will fill in for Markkanen in the starting lineup. This is an interesting move, as the Jazz have so far used the Ukrainian in only four games this season. He's averaged 4.3 points in 12.3 minutes. With Markkanen unavailable, Brice Sensabaugh and Johnny Juzang should also have more opportunities to play. The latter has built up momentum ahead of Friday's action by scoring 10-plus points in back-to-back games.

Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson (foot) remains sidelined while dealing with plantar fasciitis in his left foot. This will be the sixth consecutive game he's missed with the issue, but he's only been receiving around 26 minutes per contest when he's healthy. While he's out, Collin Sexton (finger) and Keyonte George will continue to see the bulk of the backcourt minutes. Johnny Juzang and Isaiah Collier have seen some minutes off of the bench too, but Sexton and George are the more reliable options. George, in his second season, averages 15.4 points, 5.7 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.6 threes per contest.

Utah Jazz guard Collin Sexton (finger) is officially available for the Friday night matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers. The 25-year-old hasn't missed a single game yet this season and has started in each one except for two in October. He's averaging 16.9 points, 3.2 assists, 2.6 rebounds, 1.8 threes, and 2.5 turnovers per game. Sexton has been a decent contributor in deeper category leagues so far this year and he should continue that level of play with Jordan Clarkson (foot) continuing to miss games.

Utah Jazz forward/centerMicah Potter (illness) has been downgraded to doubtful for Tuesday's matchup with the Thunder. The Jazz have been shorthanded lately, so Potter has played for at least 13 minutes in three consecutive contests. With the 26-year-old likely sidelined, players like Drew Eubanks, Brice Sensabaugh, and Svi Mykhailiuk could potentially see more playing time. However, they will not be factors in fantasy during Tuesday's contest.
