Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) won't play on Friday against the Kings. However, he has resumed practicing. The 22-year-old last played during the win over Memphis on January 4. Unfortunately, he suffered a sprained right ankle, keeping him off the floor for the Warriors' last 21 contests. With the latest update, it appears Kuminga could be back in the lineup soon. But it will likely take him time to return to form once he's cleared. In addition, the arrival of Jimmy Butler could negatively impact Kuminga's contributions in all statistical categories, although fantasy managers should still wait to see how things play out. In the meantime, Moses Moody and Brandin Podziemski should continue to see more work.

Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) is scheduled for a re-evaluation in two weeks. Kuminga has been out since Jan. 4 with an ankle sprain, but the team announced that he is making "good progress." Golden State expects Kuminga to begin light on-court individual workouts in the next week. Based on the update, Kuminga will miss at least eight more games. Moses Moody has taken on a larger role during Kuminga's absence. He has averaged 9.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 23.6 minutes since Kuminga exited the lineup. Moody has scored in double digits in each of his last six appearances.

Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) will miss a fifth straight game on Monday against Toronto. The 22-year-old is recovering from an ankle sprain and is wearing a walking boot. He's seven days into a projected three-week recovery period, so the Warriors will have to be without him for quite some time. Luckily for the team, Andrew Wiggins (personal) has returned to the fold. The Warriors bench, featuring Buddy Hield, Kyle Anderson, and Moses Moody, will also help compensate for Kuminga's loss.

Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) faces a multi-game absence. He was hurt in Saturday's contest against Memphis, leaving the arena on crutches. "It's a sprained ankle," Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said after the game. "We'll have more tomorrow. It is not going to be a day-to-day thing. It was a significant sprain. So we'll just have a report tomorrow once we get a better feel for it." With Kuminga limited to 15 minutes on Saturday, Kyle Anderson and Lindy Waters III logged 20-plus minutes off the bench. Waters III had one of his best outings as a Warrior, scoring 16 points. Buddy Hield and Moses Moody might also benefit from Kuminga's absence.

Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga will make a third consecutive start on Friday versus Minnesota. With Draymond Green (calf) back in the fold, it looked likely that the 22-year-old would have to relinquish his starting role, but Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has decided to integrate Green back into the team as a member of the second unit. Kuminga is fresh off a career night after racking up 33 points on 13-for-22 shooting in Thursday's 99-93 win against Houston. He has averaged 15.8 points with 4.3 rebounds in six total starts this season.
