The New Orleans Pelicans announced that forward/centerDaniel Theis(thumb) won't play against the Denver Nuggets on Monday. Theis will miss his second straight game due to an injured thumb. The 32-year-old is averaging 4.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 16.3 minutes per contest across 38 games this season. He doesn't make much of an impact in fantasy, but while the big man is out, Jeremiah Robinson-EarlandKarlo Matkovic will see more playing time behind starting center Yves Missi.

Missi has had a good rookie campaign, but he currently finds himself in an offensive slump, having gone scoreless in back-to-back games.

Over his first five games of the season, Theis has averaged 4.0 points and 4.4 rebounds as a reliable role player. Expect him to resume his usual role barring any last-minute setbacks.

Yves Missi will be in line for more playing time if Theis has to miss additional time, although the rookie himself battled a hip problem on Wednesday. With two bigs limited by health issues, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl logged a season-high 23 minutes. He had nine points with five rebounds and three assists. Robinson-Earl could be a speculative add for fantasy managers if Missi joins Theis on the sidelines.
