The small forward will miss his second game in a row due to core tightness. He was last seen in action against the Portland Trailblazers, where Martin had a rebound and an assist in four minutes. This season, Martin has averaged 7.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. His field goal percentage stands at 43.3%, while his three-point shooting percentage is at 32.3%.

Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal (ankle) will play on Saturday against the Washington Wizards. Beal has missed three of the last four games, including a trip to Washington, but he has been upgraded from probable to available ahead of Saturday's contest. Although his most recent outing resulted in only five points, Beal has been decent in his new bench role in Phoenix. He has averaged 14.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 4.0 assists as a reserve. Grayson Allen and Royce O'Neale will play smaller roles in the rotation with Beal back in the fold.

There was hope that he could feature against the Nets, as Phoenix initially listed him as questionable on the injury report, but the team has since downgraded him to out. As a result of Beal's absence, we should see Royce O'Neale and Grayson Allen log extra minutes off the bench. On paper, this looks like a very good matchup for a sharpshooter like Allen, as the Nets allow the highest opponent three-point percentage in the league this season.

The veteran star recently missed a pair of games with an ankle sprain and remains on the injury report because of the issue. However, Beal got through 25 minutes of action on Monday versus Cleveland, signaling he can play through the injury. Beal has struggled lately and settled for only five points on Monday. Grayson Allen and Royce O'Neale should cover most of Beal's minutes off the bench if he needs to skip another game due to his ankle.

Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic (reconditioning) will not join the Suns on their current road trip, according to coach Mike Budenholzer, meaning he will miss at least the next two games. The Suns play in Cleveland on Monday and Brooklyn on Wednesday, and Nurkic will miss those games with his next chance to possibly return coming on Saturday at home against the Wizards. With Nick Richards acquired from the Hornets and Mason Plumlee and Oso Ighodaro ahead of him on the depth chart, Nurkic may not even have a role when he is able to return and is rumored to be on his way out of Phoenix.
