Bismack Biyombo OK After Collapsing On Sideline

Oklahoma City Thunder center Bismack Biyombo has been medically cleared after he collapsed during the team's clash with Portland on Wednesday. Biyombo suddenly collapsed during a timeout in the second quarter while standing on the sideline. He appeared to have hurt his head when he fell backward into the benches, but the Congolese big man avoided any serious injury and was able to walk to the locker room. Biyombo will undergo further evaluations on Thursday. The 31-year-old has been with OKC for less than a month, averaging 5.8 minutes in four appearances.

LeBron James Exits Early Due To Lingering Ankle Issue

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James missed the end of Wednesday's matchup against Sacramento due to his lingering left ankle injury. James exited the contest and limped to the locker room with 3:58 left to play in the fourth quarter. The Lakers were tailing 122-108 at the time, which could've played a big part in James' decision to leave. He was playing outstanding basketball before the exit and finished a 130-120 loss with a team-high 31 points, five rebounds, and 13 assists. James, who logged 36 minutes in the contest, admitted postgame that he didn't feel the injury at all before the fourth quarter began while noting he was completely pain-free in Monday's matchup against Oklahoma City. James has been a regular on the injury report but has played in seven consecutive games. However, fantasy managers need to monitor his status very closely, as James' body seemingly told him Wednesday to take some time off to rest. The Lakers return to action on Friday versus Milwaukee.

Jaylin Williams Unavailable On Wednesday

Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Jaylin Williams (knee) won't play on Wednesday versus Portland. It will be the third consecutive game he will be out with a left knee sprain. Williams is one of the best rebounders on the Thunder. As a struggling rebound team, OKC has missed the 21-year-old. Bismack Biyombo and Mike Muscala will have to step up instead of Williams. However, Biyombo and Muscala are not factors in fantasy play.

Jerami Grant Back On Wednesday Evening

Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant (quadriceps) will return for Wednesday's game against OKC. The 29-year-old sustained a quad contusion during Saturday's win over the Memphis Grizzlies, limiting him to just 14 minutes before getting ruled out for the night. He wasn't available for Monday's meeting with Minnesota. However, despite carrying a questionable tag throughout Wednesday, Grant will play after only a one-game absence. The Trail Blazers need him, especially with the team down Deandre Ayton (hand), Malcolm Brogdon (elbow), Scoot Henderson (adductor), and Shaedon Sharpe (abdomen). That said, fantasy managers need to get him back in their starting lineups.

Victor Wembanyama Won't Face The Kings

San Antonio Spurs forward/center Victor Wembanyama (ankle) won't play on Thursday against the Sacramento Kings. The rookie has had a fantastic inaugural year, and he most recently had a double-double with seven blocks on Tuesday versus the Houston Rockets. More impressively, this will only be his seventh absence of the 2023-24 campaign. Nevertheless, Wembanyama's next chance to see the floor will be Saturday in Golden State. The Spurs will play it safe, so there's a chance he won't be out there for that one, either. But until he returns, Zach Collins could slide into the starting lineup. The 26-year-old has averaged 14.3 points, 5.9 boards, and 3.8 assists in 24 starts this season, making him an ideal fantasy replacement, even if it's only for a game.
