Victor Wembanyama's Presence Makes San Antonio An Attractive Landing Spot

The San Antonio Spurs could have a completely new look in 2024-25, with Victor Wembanyama's presence making the team an attractive landing spot for players. "Every free agent, every veteran guard, they all want to play with Victor Wembanyama," said ESPN's NBA Draft analyst Jonathan Givony on The Ringer's NBA Draft Show. According to Givony, the Spurs want to be back in the playoffs next season, and he thinks the team is going to be "aggressive" with its draft picks. San Antonio has two top-eight picks in the upcoming draft. The team will need to add a lot of quality to get back into postseason contention after finishing with a 22-60 record in 2023-24.

Terance Mann Hopes Paul George Sticks With Clippers

Los Angeles Clippers guard/forward Paul George has been linked with an exit from L.A. via free agency, but teammate Terance Mann hopes to see the nine-time All-Star stick around. Mann was asked on FanDuel TV's Run It Back to have a guess if George will remain a Clipper in 2024-25. "I hope so," said Mann. "But you never know with this free agency stuff." George is reportedly "Plan A" for the Philadelphia 76ers in free agency, with the Orlando Magic also seen as a potential landing spot for him.

Pelicans Unlikely To Offer Max Extension To Brandon Ingram

New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram will be left without a max extension this offseason. "Considering their current and future financial situation, the Pelicans are unlikely to offer him that maximum deal this offseason," William Guillory of The Athletic wrote on Monday. Ingram is eligible to sign a four-year, $208 million contract in the summer. The team understandably isn't very keen to make such a big investment in Ingram after seeing him struggle in the playoffs. New Orleans was swept in the first round by Oklahoma City, with Ingram settling for 14.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists with 34.5 shooting from the field.
