The end of the NBA regular season is less than two weeks away, in case you could not tell by the sheer volume of players sitting out Wednesday. The names below are some you may not know, but they are stepping into a role that makes them worth knowing.

We will have more plays later in the day as news drops, so make sure to be active in the FTNBets Discord for those updates. For now, here are my three best bets for Wednesday.

Best NBA Point Prop Bets

Nic Claxton Over 11.5 Points

(-123, Caesars)

Nic Claxton had a big game in the only other matchup between the Nets and Rockets. He finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds in 29 minutes. Houston plays at a slightly faster clip than Brooklyn does, so that should be a few more possessions. More importantly, the Rockets give up the second most points per 100 possessions, so the efficiency should be high for the Nets offense. Claxton is not a guy with 25- to 30-point upside, but he’ll finish enough around the rim to get to 12 or more in such a soft matchup.

Shaedon Sharpe Over 20.5 Points

(-115, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Shaedon Sharpe is in a great spot. Sacramento plays faster than Portland, so they are paced up. Sacramento gives up about 120 points per 100 possessions, which is toward the higher end in the league, making this a great spot for efficiency. Finally, the Blazers will be without Lillard, Simons, Nurkic, and Grant. That is 50-60 shot attempts per game that need to go somewhere, and Sharpe has been the guy taking them in recent games. He’s averaged over 16 shots per game in the last four, topping the 20.5 he needs today in three of the last four. I don’t expect the Blazers to put up much of a fight, but someone has to score, and Sharpe is the most likely guy to benefit.

Best NBA 3-Point Prop Bet

Jordan Nwora Over 2.5 3-Pointers

(-110, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Jordan Nwora has seen a big jump in his playing time, and that should continue here with Tyrese Halliburton and Buddy Hield both ruled out. He’s knocked down six 3-pointers in the last two games and this is a great spot for perimeter shooters against the Bucks. Hield knocked down 5, 5 and 3 against the Bucks already this season and with the injuries, that is the role I envision Nwora sliding into.
