NBA Best Bets of the Day (2/8)

We have a robust slate of NBA games on tap for Wednesday night. I want to start off by dropping a word of caution: The NBA trade deadline is probably less than 24 hours from closing when you read this. Expect to hear some names on the move and some others sitting out because of potential trade scenarios. This is probably a good couple days to go a bit lighter on your bets and maybe even think about sacrificing some closing line value earlier in the day to wait until closer to tip off to make some plays.

I grabbed a few numbers I loved for my NBA best bets already, but definitely check back later in the NBA bet tracker for updates and additions as news drops throughout the day.

Best NBA Points Prop Bet

Jarrett Allen Over 15.5 Points

(-105, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Jarret Allen has at least 18 points in three straight games. He draws a very good matchup against a defensively weak Pistons team that allows the second most points per 100 possessions at 119.3. Allen is averaging only 9.5 shots per game, but he’s taken double-digit shots in six of his last eight. Allen’s shot chart is all around the basket, so he is taking high-percentage shots. A few extra shots for him tend to translate into a few extra points as he’s shooting 65% from the floor.

Best NBA Rebound Prop Bet

Joel Embiid Over 11.5 Rebounds

(+107, BetRivers)

Joel Embiid draws one of the better rebounding matchups for an opposing big man. He performed very well in the last matchup between these teams grabbing 15 rebounds. Embiid has doubled-doubled in sux straight games, averaging over 12 rebounds during this recent run. Despite the questionable tag, he has routinely played into the mid-30s minutes in almost all of these recent games and the production does not seem to be suffering at all.

Best NBA Assist Prop Bet

Draymond Green Over 6.5 Assists

(-115, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Draymond Green draws a great matchup against a defensively weak Portland team that can also score. That means this game is likely to end with sky-high totals on both sides. More scoring means more chances for assists, and Green has been putting up great numbers in that department lately. He has finished with 7 or more assists in eight of the last 10 games he has played. He has a sneaky chance for a triple-double, and I would expect a nice night of stuffed stat sheets in this matchup for him.
