NBA Best Bets of the Day (11/22)

The NBA has only four games Tuesday, and there’s a ton of injury news in those games. Joel Embiid, Tyreese Maxey and James Harden are out for the 76ers. Jamaal Murray and Nikola Jokic are still in COVID-19 protocol for the Nuggets, Desmond Bane is out for the Grizzlies, Chris Paul is out for the Suns and LeBron James has not played in over a week for the Lakers despite being questionable again Tuesday. Half the prop bets for the day are not even out yet and probably will not be until later. We do have a few edges and best bets to discuss though.

Best NBA Spread Bet

Brooklyn Nets -7.5

(-107, PointsBet)

This is at -8 or -8.5 on all the other sportsbook partnersm and it’s at -110 or higher too. PointsBet has the lowest number and the best payout here too. James Harden, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey are all out today for the 76ers. It is going to be a lot of playing time for Shake Milton, De’Anthony Melton and probably a slew of random role players. For the Nets, Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving are both back. Nic Claxton also rejoins the team. They are better than the numbers have shown with those guys all missing some games recently. The 76ers replacement level players for the three highest usage guys are way more inefficient, which should lead to lower scoring. This one could get ugly early and never get back to being close.

Best NBA Steals and Blocks Prop Bet

Royce O’Neale Over 1.5 Steals + Blocks

(+100, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Shake Milton has been a turnover machine when on the floor. You also will have some funky rotations for the 76ers with players not used to being on the floor together. Embiid, Harden and Maxey are all out, which will create a very sloppy inefficient game for the 76ers. Milton and De’Anthony Melton combined for 8 and 9 turnovers in the last two games without them. I like all of the Nets to grab a bunch of steals here today and Royce O’Neale is known for his defensive prowess. I also like Kyrie Irving +160, but that’s only a small bet or something to throw on a same-game parlay.

Best NBA Points Prop Bet

Jaren Jackson Over 16.5 points

(-115, DraftKings Sportsbook)

Jaren Jackson has missed much of the season, but this is a huge total game currently sitting at 234.5 that he will be active for. People are worried about him only playing 25 minutes, but he only averages 27 per night for his career and just around 16 points per game for a 0.64 point per min career average. In three games vs. Sacramento last year, he scored over 16.5 in all of them, playing 22, 26, and 28 minutes. That’s an average of 0.77 pts/min vs. the Kings. At 0.77 points he would need to play 22 minutes to get over and we project him for 25.
