NBA Best Bets of the Day (11/16)

Wednesdays are usually a massive night for NBA action, and this one is no different. We have 20 teams in action, which means a lot of potential markets to bet. Injury news is a big deal Wednesday, as many key players on some of these teams are listed as questionable. I tried to avoid these games in our first look at some of these lines until we get more clarity.

You can always hop in the FTN Bets Discord to get updates on the injury news and its impact throughout the day. Here are some of my best bets after taking an early look at Wednesday’s action.

Best NBA Spread Bet

Phoenix Suns +1.5

(-115, BetMGM)

The Phoenix Suns are an underdog at home, which is enough of a reason to be looking at them. It is not an easy game by against the Warriors, but these are two evenly matched teams. The fact we can take the Suns with points at home is enough of a reason to lean that way. Most other books have this at +1, so I’m fine laying a couple extra basis points to get it at +1.5 to have the hook on my side.

Best NBA Total Bet

Minnesota Timberwolves/Orlando Magic Under 222.5

(-107, PointsBet)

The Orlando Magic are playing with a ragtag group of second stringers and two healthy starters right now. In the last three games the totals were 217, 211 and 181. The last three games with Paolo healthy before that were 261, 249 and 259 total points. As long as the Magic are without their star rookie and some of their other backcourt options, I’m not expecting them to put up a ton of points. That not only increases the blow out risk but makes me even more confident in the under.

Best NBA Rebounding Prop Bet

Kristaps Porzingis Under 9.5 Rebounds

(-120, BetMGM)

I do not understand how Kristaps Porzingis always has the higher rebounding prop when Kyle Kuzma seems to always end up with more rebounds than he does. I like Kuzma to go over his 8.5 and Porzingis to come in under 10. Rather than risk a full unit on one or the other, I decided to take Porzingis for the under and Kuzma for the over at a half unit each. If you prefer one to the other, I think Porzingis failing to grab 10 or more is the better straight up play of the two. I do also like the idea of using KP under and Kuzma over as part of a single game parlay.
