NBA Best Bets of the Day (1/1)

The NBA has a small three-game slate to kick off the new year. The three games are all very interesting ones with the Bucks and Wizards, Kings and Grizzlies and Celtics and Nuggets tipping off later today.

Remember to get over to the FTN Bet Tracker to see all of the plays from all of our NBA analysts throughout the day. I didn’t find a ton to bet on today, but I do have two best bets below.

Best NBA Spread Bet

Memphis Grizzlies -4.5

(-108 Tipico Sportsbook)

Memphis and Sacramento both play fast. They are sixth and seventh in the NBA for pace. Both are solid offensively with the Kings averaging 116.3 points per 100 possessions and the Grizz at 114.8. The difference in this game is on the defensive end. Memphis currently allows the fewest points per 100 possessions at under 110, and Sacramento is 21st in that stat. Offensively, both teams are pretty even, but the Grizzlies’ ability to limit opponents and Sacramento’s lack of defense will be the difference in this one.

Best NBA Rebound Prop

Giannis Antetokounmpo Rebounds

(-125 DraftKings)

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been on a mission lately. He’s grabbed 20+ boards and scored 40+ points in each of the last two games. He’s topped 12.5 rebounds in four of his last five as well, so this number felt a bit low. It’s already starting to move, as you can’t find the over 12.5 at anywhere priced -125 or better anymore. It’s as high as -140 on some books too, so this is still a bit of a deal.
