Giannis Antetokounmpo Logs Massive Triple-Double In Game 5

Milwaukee Bucks forward/center Giannis Antetokounmpo put together a special line in Tuesday's Game 5 against the Indiana Pacers, but his team was eliminated from the playoffs with a 119-118 overtime defeat. Antetokounmpo posted his fourth career postseason triple-double with 30 points, 20 rebounds, and 13 assists, while collecting two steals and two blocks on the defensive end. He finished with 9-for-17 shooting and had an 11-for-17 record at the line. Throughout the entire postseason, Antetokounmpo averaged 33.0 points, 15.4 rebounds, and 6.6 assists, but the Bucks were still dumped out in the first round for the third consecutive year. The team has won only one playoff series since its 2021 championship run, which must be very frustrating for Antetokounmpo. The two-time MVP began to draw links with the San Antonio Spurs this week, and his partnership with Victor Wembanyama would certainly be something extremely unique.

Damian Lillard May Not Play Next Season

Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard (Achilles) suffered a torn left Achilles during Sunday's Game 4 loss to the Pacers. An MRI confirmed the diagnosis, with the multi-time All-Star set to undergo surgery. He will miss the rest of the postseason, which isn't surprising. However, because of the severity of the injury and how close it occurred to the end of the 2024-25 campaign, Lillard may not be able to suit up next season. The former Trail Blazer logged 58 games in his second year with the Bucks, averaging 24.9 points, 7.1 assists, 4.7 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and 37.6% shooting from behind the arc. Obviously, this is a tough blow to the Bucks, a team that is one game away from being bounced from the playoffs. Ryan Rollins, who started in Game 1, could find himself back with the first-five, although Kevin Porter Jr., coming off a 23-point effort in Game 4, could benefit the most from Lillard's absence.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Posts Big Double-Double In Game 2 Loss

Milwaukee Bucks forward/center Giannis Antetokounmpo led all players with 34 points and 18 rebounds on Tuesday night against the Indiana Pacers, but still had to leave the court on the losing side as the Bucks were defeated 123-115. Milwaukee had Damian Lillard back in the lineup, but he contributed only 14 points on 4-for-13 shooting, and the team continued to rely heavily on Antetokounmpo on the offensive end. He finished with 14-for-20 shooting from the field and went 6-for-10 with his free throws. Antetokounmpo also had seven assists and one block in the game. The Bucks are now 2-0 down in the first-round series, despite Antetokounmpo averaging 35.0 points and 15.0 rebounds. He will need more support in the upcoming home games.

Damian Lillard Will Have His Minutes Monitored Tuesday

Milwaukee Bucks point guard Damian Lillard (calf) will return from a 15-game absence on Tuesday against the Indiana Pacers but may have a limited workload. According to Bucks head coach Doc Rivers, Lillard will start the contest, but the team plans to monitor his conditioning and minutes. After being sidelined for several weeks due to a blood clot in his right calf, Lillard has participated in only three practices with the Bucks. Lillard is set to replace Ryan Rollins in the starting lineup.

Damian Lillard Cleared To Play Tuesday

Milwaukee Bucks point guard Damian Lillard (calf) will be back in action on Tuesday against the Indiana Pacers. He has been cleared to return from a deep-vein thrombosis in his right calf, which sidelined Lillard for the final weeks of the regular season and Game 1 against the Pacers. Lillard's presence is sure to provide a boost for the Bucks, who lost Saturday's series opener 117-98. However, the nine-time All-Star struggled in this matchup during the regular season, scoring only 18.3 points per game on 35.5 percent shooting from the field.
