NBA Prop Bet of the Day

Donovan Mitchell OVER 24.5 points at Memphis (-114, FanDuel

After a testicle-displacing skid that temporarily had my kids on track to attend the nearest, cheapest junior college, this streaky bettor suddenly has won three in a row. Boys, dad may soon be able to afford tuition at a low-level MAC school. The winning formula over the last few days is simple: Bet on superstars. It’s the playoffs after all, a time when elites are supposed to shine. Sticking with the theme, Mitchell is the play. Restricted to 25 minutes in his first game back from missing a month due to a high-ankle sprain, the ultra-efficient Spider-Man weaved a brilliant web in the box score, netting 25 points on 8-of-19 shooting. With a game under his belt, indications are his usage ramps up in Game 3. Earlier this season in back-to-back contests versus the Grizz, he posted a pair of 35-point performances. Memphis does rank No. 7 on the season in defensive efficiency, but it’s the fifth-best matchup for a SG over the last 15 games according to the FTN Daily Advanced DvP tool. The Spidey senses are tingling.
