Always itching for action, Brad Evans scours the ‘books for a seducing wager whether NFL, NBA, MLB, Chinese ping pong, whatever. Come back daily to see where he’s blowing his bankroll. Fade or follow? That, of course, is entirely up to you.

NBA Prop Bet of the Day

LeBron James UNDER 26.5 points vs. Golden State (-113, DraftKings

Will this increasingly -EV bettor ever claim victory again on another wager featured in this space? The consensus: Nope. Keep fading. The last winner occurred in roughly 1899 when placing deadened, unable-to-bounce balls into peach baskets were all the rage. Dr. Naismith would agree. LeBron, who’s played just four games since late March recovering from a high-ankle sprain, looked like his usual megastar self in tuneups against New Orleans and Indiana. However, the above total is a wee bit aggressive, especially considering how well the Warriors have handled the King in recent matchups. In a pair of regular season contests, LeBron scored 22 and 19 points against them. Golden State is a middle-of-the-road matchup, but his still tender ankle could limit his scoring upside. Then again, my stamp of approval on the under virtually guarantees a Jayson Tatum-like playoff outburst.
