In fact, he’s started to drop far more dimes than his egomaniacal pops will ever collect. After a five-game string of three assists, Ball totaled 12, four and seven in the category in meetings against the Magic, Spurs and Clippers. A sharp rise in minutes played is mostly responsible for the statistical surge. Assuming his increased usage continues, he should secure multiple FDRs in a likely high-scoring affair versus Denver. This season, the Nuggets rank No. 28 in assists per game allowed. Without Jamal Murray on the floor, expect Ball to reach the half-dozen mark.
