The NBA season is here, and that means we have tons of new stats, tools, and information to dive into. This article will present you with five actionable stats in order to help you with the night’s NBA DFS slate of games.
We only have a small two-game slate Tuesday, but we have some of the best teams in the NBA on the hardwood, so let’s get to the 5 Stats.
1. Luka Doncic is averaging 1.77 FPPM and has a 39.3% usage rate so far this season.
Now Tim Hardaway is doubtful for this game, which should only help Luka maintain this monstrous usage that he has seen to start the season.
2. Trey Murphy has produced .95 FPPM so far this season.
Murphy has served as the sixth man on this Pelicans team and now with Brandon Ingram and Herb Jones expected to be out, there’s a good chance Murphy moves into the starting lineup and/or sees an uptick in usage.
3. The Pistons have 6 players on their roster averaging more than 1 FPPM in at least 25 minutes on the floor.
Targeting efficient players on a per-minute basis on these short slates is typically going to lead to success more often than not. Cade Cunningham, Saddiq Bey, Jaden Ivey, Bojan Bogdanovic, Isaiah Stewart and Jalen Duren all average 1 FPPM or more this season.
4. So far this season, the Detroit Pistons have the fourth-worst defensive efficiency in the NBA, while their opponent Washington Wizards are playing at the ninth-fastest pace.
This sets up to be an interesting game environment, while the Pistons have had a bad defense and are also top six in pace. Washington is in one of the best matchup spots on the Tuesday slate.
5. The Detroit Pistons are allowing the eighth-most points to opposing Guards so far this season.
Speaking more to this matchup that Bradley Beal and these Washington Wizards have, the Pistons are allowing a ton of points, playing very fast, and are currently one of the worst teams defensively according to DEF.
