We are back for another exciting weekend of combat sports for UFC Vegas 35 in Las Vegas. There are a couple spots that I feel good about in the props market but be sure to check out the rest of the FTN crew’s bets FTN Bets Tracker in case we add anything prior to fight night.

Andre Petroski to win by submission in Round 1

Petroski is an aggressive wrestler who is going to look to get the fight to the ground from the opening bell. Two of his five career wins have come by first-round submission, and his opponent, Michael Gillmore, is not good. Not only is he not good, but all of his career losses have come by early submission and Gilbert Urbina submitted him in Round 1 on The Ultimate Fighter as well.

Sam Alvey to win by KO/TKO

Alvey is never someone I like to back, but this is the way to do it, as his path to victory is almost always a knockout. Now, he is facing Wellington Turman, who is coming off two first-round knockout losses. Turman simply cannot take the damage anymore and unless he wrestles early and often in this matchup then he is going to have to eat some heavy shots from Alvey.
Giga Chikadze vs. Edson Barboza Fight ends by KO/TKO

The main event this week seems relatively clear to me. Chikadze likely needs to win by knockout early as his low-volume striking is not great to win rounds without knockdowns or big moments. He is now making a massive step up in competition to face the best striker he has yet in Barboza. Barboza is willing to go to war but has been knocked out multiple times in his career. On the flip side, Chikadze has been known to gas out in three-round fights and I do not expect him to last five rounds in this high-paced matchup. Any result aside from a knockout would surprise me.
