Trust the Gut: Fantasy Baseball FAAB Guide (Week 21)

Share

Welcome to FTN’s weekly free agent bidding (FAAB) strategy column, Trust the Gut.

This article will be published every Saturday during the fantasy baseball season. The addendum to Trust the Gut is released on Sundays, at least two hours before NFBC’s 10 p.m. ET deadline.

Roster% refers to the percentage in which players are currently rostered within 15-team (NFBC Main Event) and 12-team (Online Championship) leagues. These are competitive national contests with overall prize components.

FTN MLB Tools

Within our suite of MLB Tools are sortable free agent data tables separate from the article: 15-team FAAB and 12-team FAAB. I begin inputting free-agent bidding options for both lists on Thursdays and continually add, remove players and edit bid range amounts throughout the weekend.

We also have MLB fantasy baseball tools (data tables) for the FTN Weekly Hitter Projections, FTN Weekly Pitcher Projections, Daily Projections, Rob Orr’s Bullpen Report, Lucas Biery’s Hitter Rankings, Eric Cross’ Pitcher Rankings, Mike Mager’s Hitter Drops, Pitcher Drops and Disaster Pitcher Starts to Avoid. You may always reference my VDP Preseason 5×5 Roto Projections with VDP$ (full season value).

Check out the new FTN Data FILTH metric for starting pitchers which measures the quality of each pitch in a pitcher’s repertoire and is helpful for FAAB decision-making.

For FAAB questions specific to you and your fantasy teams, drop a note in the FTN NFBC Discord.

This is a weekend to stay plugged in, sift through the noise, and set our waterfalls and bid amounts with extra special care.
