The All-Star catcher finally got the majority of playing in 2023 after being dealt from the Atlanta Braves and hit .289 with 17 homers and 78 RBI. The 26-year-old will run it back as the main man behind the dish in Milwaukee and a key part of their lineup in the upcoming season. Contreras became one of the top catchers in fantasy baseball after slashing .289/.367/.457 with 17 home runs, 78 RBI, 86 runs, and six stolen bases over 611 plate appearances in 141 games last season. Milwaukee values Contreras' bat in the lineup as the 26-year-old logged 29 starts as the team's designated hitter. His 48.7% hard-hit percentage was a career-high, and Contreras saw his K% decrease seven points from 27.7% in 2022 to 20.6% in 2023. He has an NFBC ADP of 75 and is the third catcher off the board after Adley Rutschman and J.T. Realmuto. Contreras should be in the lineup daily as he looks to build on last season's success in 2024. The former Atlanta Brave is easily a top-five fantasy catcher and a solid pick in upcoming drafts at his current ADP.
