Cincinnati Reds outfielder Rece Hinds has gone deep twice during the first four games of the Triple-A regular season. Across this short stint, Hinds has tallied at least one hit in all but one contest. Hinds has posted a strong .333/.412/.833 slash line with two long balls, six RBI, and a 2:5 BB:K. Hinds has also swiped two bags and scored six runs. The 24-year-old received a brief taste of the major leagues last summer and flashed elite power upside. Across 24 games in Cincinnati, Hinds launched five long balls with four doubles and held a .717 SLG. He swiped two bags during this stint and generated an elite .386 xwOBA. However, he posted a hefty 38.2 percent whiff rate. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Hinds' progression at Triple-A as he should push for an early return to the big leagues. He is worth adding in all five outfielder leagues when he returns, given his power upside.

The Cincinnati Reds recalled outfield prospect Rece Hinds from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday and placed outfielder Stuart Fairchild (thumb) on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to Aug. 26) in a corresponding move with a left-thumb sprain. The 23-year-old Hinds, who is the team's No. 15 prospect per MLB Pipeline, did not start in Tuesday's contest against the Oakland Athletics, and he'll most likely serve in a reserve role in his second MLB stint. He took major-league baseball by storm upon his initial call-up, going 11-for-22 with five home runs, three doubles, a triple, 11 RBI and two steals in his first six games before 1-for-16 with a double and five strikeouts in his ensuing four games before being sent back to Louisville. All of his 10 starts came in right field, so if anything, Hinds may be on the short side of a platoon against lefties in his return.

To make room for outfielder TJ Friedl (hamstring) on the active MLB roster, the Cincinnati Reds optioned outfield prospect Rece Hinds to Triple-A Louisville. Hinds burst onto the scene after his first big-league call-up and was named the National League Player of the Week two weeks ago, but he has predictably fallen off since then. The 23-year-old went deep five times in his first six games with the Reds but picked up just one hit in 16 at-bats since then, including five strikeouts. As a result, the former second-rounder in 2019 lost out on playing time and will now continue his development on the farm. The club's No. 15 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, has hit .316 (12-for-38) in his first 10 MLB games and could be back with the Reds when rosters expand in September as outfield depth.

Cincinnati Reds rookie Rece Hinds remains in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Atlanta Braves. Hinds will be playing right field and batting seventh in the order. He is hitting .353/.389/.971 with five homers, 11 RBI, seven runs scored, and two stolen bases in his first nine big league games. He has not played since Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Washington Nationals, where he went 0-for-4, only the second time Hinds was hitless. Daily fantasy managers should continue riding Hinds' blistering pace, while those in standard leagues should look to add room for him.

Cincinnati Reds rookie outfielder Rece Hinds is on the bench on Monday for the second day in a row against the hosting Atlanta Braves and right-hander Reynaldo Lopez. The Reds will use Will Benson, Stuart Fairchild and Jake Fraley in the outfield on Monday from left to right field, respectively. Hinds, the club's No. 15 prospect per MLB Pipeline, started his MLB career off with a bang, going 11-for-22 (.500) with five home runs, three doubles, a triple, 11 RBI and two stolen bases in his first six games, but he's gone 1-for-12 with a double and three strikeouts in his last three games and may only be in Cincy's starting lineup against left-handed pitchers moving forward. It was an amazing start for the 23-year-old, but fantasy managers should have been expecting him to come back down to Earth sooner than later.
