Kansas City Royals right-handed pitching prospect Luinder Avila tossed 5 2/3 innings in his season debut on Tuesday evening. Avila tallied an impressive 11 punchouts while allowing just one hit, one run, and a free pass. This was an impressive season debut for Avila, who made only one previous Triple-A start in his career.
