Texas Rangers starting pitcher Jacob deGrom was tough to hit during Saturday's game against the Washington Nationals. The 36-year-old posted his best outing of the season with seven scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out eight batters in the win. Another nice performance by deGrom who is looking more like himself as time goes on. He'll take a 2.12 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, and 74/17 K/BB ratio into his next start against the Minnesota Twins. There is always the concern of injury, but when he's healthy, deGrom is one of the best pitchers in all of baseball.

Texas Rangers right-hander Jacob deGrom (finger) is starting in Sunday's series finale against the visiting St. Louis Cardinals at Globe Life Field. deGrom was bothered by a finger issue in his latest outing on Monday against the Toronto Blue Jays, when he allowed two earned runs on five hits (one homer) while walking two and striking out none in his second loss of the year in 5 1/3 innings. It was the 36-year-old's shortest outing since he went five innings on May 10 against the Detroit Tigers. Although deGrom threw only 81 pitches on Monday, he shouldn't have any workload restrictions on Sunday unless his finger issue crops up again. Overall in 2025, the two-time Cy Young winner has bounced back nicely from injuries, going 4-2 with a 2.42 ERA and 0.96 WHIP with 62 strikeouts in 63 1/3 innings over 11 starts. The Cardinals have the 10th-best OPS (.728), but deGrom is a must-start in fantasy.

Texas Rangers starting pitcher Jacob deGrom did something for the first time in his career on Monday. The right-hander failed to record a strikeout during his outing for the first time in 229 career starts. He threw 5 1/3 innings, allowing two earned runs on five hits and walked two batters. He somehow went the whole game without striking out a single one of the Toronto Blue Jays hitters. This wasn't a good outing for fantasy managers, but deGrom has allowed two earned runs or less in eight straight starts. He'll look to rack up some strikeouts against the St. Louis Cardinals in his next start.

Texas Rangers right-hander Jacob deGrom delivered an excellent performance in a no-decision in Wednesday's 4-3 loss against the New York Yankees. The two-time Cy Young winner fired seven innings of three-hit, two-run ball with nine strikeouts against one walk. Although deGrom pitched well enough to earn the victory, the Rangers' bullpen surrendered a pair of runs in a 4-3 defeat. The 36-year-old has now allowed two or fewer earned runs and totaled at least five innings in seven consecutive starts. DeGrom owns a sterling 2.33 ERA with 62:12 K:BB through 58 innings, making him a must-start each time he takes the ball. He's scheduled to face the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday.

Texas Rangers starting pitcher Jacob deGrom tossed a gem on Thursday, shutting out the Houston Astros for eight innings and picking up his fourth win of the season in a 1-0 victory. The righty was dominant in this one, allowing just five hits and a walk while punching out seven. He threw a season-high 96 pitches, and the velocity on his fastball and slider were both up, two signs that he is beginning to feel like his old self. Even with deGrom returning from Tommy John surgery, he has been one of the best pitchers in the majors this year. He has a 4-1 record to go with a 2.29 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 53 strikeouts in 51 IP. The 36-year-old might not be the most dominant pitcher in the league like he once was, but he is still one of the best when he takes the mound. His next start should come Wednesday in New York in a tough matchup against the Yankees.
