Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-125, DraftKings Sportsbook)
Let’s cast aside Marcus Stroman’s last start — it was part of a double header, which should always be a red flag in props like these. Before that, Stroman has whiffed five of more batters in five straight starts. Teammate Rich Hill struck out eight over five innings Wednesday and the Fish are strikeout prone (25.2% last 30 days).
Carlos Hernández, Kansas City Royals
Over 4.5 strikeouts (-125, DraftKings Sportsbook)
Reading Carlos Hernández’s most recent stat lines is like balancing out a yo-yo. There’s a one strikeout effort, followed up by 6-8 K efforts. That’s volatile and hardly a lock. But what we can count on is a Baltimore offense that has whiffed at a 25.0% clip in the last 30 days. I’m betting on a big number from the righty here.
