Welcome to the prop bet tracker. As MLB season gets into high gear, another way to get in on the action is to analyze the day’s best prop bets – from strikeouts to home runs, first to five runs to total bases logged.

Each day, we will try and identify a few picks that are ready to explode in the prop market.

Steven Matz Under 4.5 Strikeouts (-133, DraftKings)

Matz has been absolutely brutal the last three times out. Awful. While I still believe in his growth potential, but this is a bad matchup against the Astros — and it's an offense that strikes out the least in baseball by a very wide margin (19.2%).

José Berríos Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-110, BetMGM)

After we saw Matt Shoemaker hit the over even with a rain delay, I'm doubling down here and betting Berríos smashes the over on this one. He's been a bit up-and-down with his whiffs, but this Tigers team has too many people flailing at the plate (30.3% strikeout rate). Keep pounding.

Austin Riley to Hit a Home Run (+450, DraftKings)

With Vince Velasquez sticking in the rotation, I love to take a shot at a home run bet on a guy like Riley. The right-hander for the Phillies, albeit in a small sample size, has been absolutely bombed by right-handed batters this season — like a .757 slugging percentage this season, with five of the 11 hits allowed being the long ball. If you want another Brave here, I won't quibble.
