Welcome to the prop bet tracker. As MLB season gets into high gear, another way to get in on the action is to analyze the day’s best prop bets – from strikeouts to home runs, first to five runs to total bases logged.

Each day, we will try to identify a few picks that are ready to explode in the prop market.

Zach Eflin Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+120, BetMGM)

Zach Eflin has been a brilliant surprise so far this season, and what gets even better is Thursday’s matchup. The Cubs have been a decent offense, but they are striking out far too much – over the last two weeks, they’ve been whiffing at a 30.3% clip, worst in major league baseball. We project him for over seven strikeouts here (7.6, to be exact), and he could smash this easily.

Alek Manoah Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-120, FanDuel)

Rookie right-hander Alek Manoah has been a boss in 2021 – sporting close to a 30% strikeout rate, the precocious young arm now takes his talents to Baltimore, where he squares up against an Orioles squad whiffing at a 24.0% clip in this split in 2021. Couple Manoah’s greatness with a struggling offense, and this could be a big night.
