Welcome to the prop bet tracker. As MLB season kicks off into full swing, another way to get in on the action is to analyzes the day’s best prop bets – from strikeouts to home runs, first to five runs to total bases logged.

Each day, we will try and identify a few picks that are ready to explode in the prop market.

Patrick Corbin Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-134, DraftKings)

It’s understandable to be a bit nervous about Corbin. He got totally rocked in his first start by one of the best offenses in baseball by the Los Angeles Dodgers. But here’s what plays to his favor — he had 10 swing-and-misses in his first start. And the Diamondbacks are a different team without Ketel Marte — and love to swing and miss. Don’t be scared and own the matchup.

Merrill Kelly Under 4.5 Strikeouts (+100, FanDuel)

I know this total is small. But let’s understand what we are dealing with here. First, the right-hander has been horrendous. Truly bad. And I understand it’s a small sample, but woof with 10 inning and 9 runs. Yikes. Keep in mind that Kelly averages only 7.8 punchouts per nine innings pitched, and with some slugging lefties like Juan Soto, Josh Bell and Kyle Schwarber, it could be a quick trip to the showers.

Justin Turner to hit a Home Run (+470, DraftKings)

Friends, Turner is a boss. He smashes the baseball, and I love the chance to hit on a matchup like this. Starting off this season, he has destroyed the baseball with a 213 wRC+ — and while it’s early, the Colorado bullpen has been horrible. Horrible to the tune of a 5.32 ERA, one of the worst bullpens. That should be something that Turner could pick on. Put a small taste on Turner.
